Why should you join Bamboo?

At Bamboo, we are building the future of financial infrastructure by enabling seamless, secure, and scalable payments across global markets. We partner with businesses, platforms, and institutions to make moving money simple, reliable, and connected. Joining us means contributing to meaningful work that spans borders, impacts merchants, and supports innovation in the fintech space.

What you’ll do

  • Own the LATAM Payment Methods product portfolio organized by use case — subscription APMs, wallets, cards, BNPL, local rails, virtual accounts — driving which categories to grow, which providers to add, and how each evolves.
  • Architect category-level product abstractions so payment methods become coherent, scalable surfaces for merchants — not a list of integrations. Design unified APIs and merchant experiences across rails like PIX, SPEI, PSE, Nequi, Yape, Mercado Pago, BNPL providers, and global card networks.
  • Translate emerging LATAM payment trends into productized capabilities that shape the 2–3 quarter horizon — recurring on APMs, instant rails, BNPL portfolios, tokenization, 3DS evolution, wallet interoperability.
  • Own the full lifecycle and the commercial outcome of every payment method: market sizing, partner vs. build, API design, SLA negotiation, security/compliance/legal alignment, rollout, and deprecation. You are the single owner of TPV, approval rate, cost of payment, margin, and dispute rate per method.
  • Drive payment performance at the country level through smart routing, multiacquirer redundancy, and operational excellence patterns that scale across the portfolio.
  • Build country-level Payment Performance Playbooks that codify how each market is won — segment by segment — and accelerate commercial deals.
  • Stay ahead of LATAM payments regulation (central bank rules, AFIP / CNBV / SUNAT-adjacent tax, BNPL consumer protection, recurring-payment mandates) and turn regulatory shifts into roadmap before they become urgent.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) — must.
  • 2+ years of product management experience, ideally including working with external partners or integrations.
  • Demonstrable experience defining roadmaps, prioritizing features, and delivering complex technical/partner-facing products.
  • Strong understanding of API design, data flows, webhooks, or other integration technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to articulate requirements clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience designing payment-method APIs at the category level — not just one-off integrations. Examples of unified interfaces you’ve built that scaled to N+ providers across markets.
  • Track record of productizing a payment-method category from scratch (e.g., launching a subscription-APMs product, a wallets product, a BNPL portfolio).
  • Working knowledge of LATAM-specific payment rails and APMs — at minimum: PIX, SPEI, PSE, Nequi/Yape, Mercado Pago, Boleto, OXXO. Deeper familiarity in at least 2–3 markets.

What Success Looks Like

  • Payment-method portfolio grows in coverage and quality quarter over quarter — new categories launched, existing categories deepened with additional providers and markets.
  • Each category ships with a productized merchant-facing interface and a documented partner onboarding flow — scalable by design from day one.
  • Payment-method KPIs are owned and reported quarterly: TPV per method, approval rate, cost of payment, margin, settlement time, dispute rate. Trade-offs (conversion vs. fraud loss, speed vs. cost) are made explicit.
  • New integrations launch with redundancy, monitoring, and remediation patterns built in by design.
  • Country-level Payment Performance Playbooks accelerate enterprise deals and onboard commercial teams faster.
  • High partner satisfaction across the integration lifecycle — measured through partner NPS or equivalent.
