About the Opportunity
Bamboo is seeking a detail oriented and proactive Finance Manager to join our licensed Financial Institution in Malta. This role is essential for ensuring a strong financial framework for the entity, including month end process, regulatory reporting, tax submissions and bank reconciliations. If you have a financial background, strong analytical skills and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Your key responsibilities include:
- General accounting, financial reporting and administrative duties, including the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, tax returns and other statutory reporting and filing;
- Supporting the Group Finance function, including by the preparation of monthly financial reporting, management of intercompany balances and other tasks;
- Added level of control ensuring proper segregation of own and client funds, establishing and monitoring controls and reports around this area;
- Involvement in the financial operations of the Company including merchant settlements, expense payments, cashflow management, reconciliations and internal reporting;
- Preparing and submitting quarterly and ad hoc reports to the MFSA and Central Bank of Malta;
- Managing relationships with auditors, tax advisors and other partners;
- Involvement in other ad hoc and special projects if so required.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified accountant
- 3+ years professional accounting experience within the Fintech / Payments / Financial Services Industry. Being already approved (PQ’d) by the MFSA in a similar role is a plus
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently while at the same time collaborating with different teams within the Company
- Perseverance. You don’t take no for an answer and you seek innovative solutions
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build internal and external relationships
- Fluent in written and spoken ENGLISH. Other languages are a bonus;
- Results focused and give high attention to detail
- Have a basic understanding of EU AML/CFT regulations
