About the Opportunity
We are looking for a Payment Operations Analyst to join our Operations team. This role is focused on the manual execution of critical payment operations, including payouts, refunds, and chargeback processing, while actively contributing to the design and evolution of scalable and automated processes.This position is ideal for someone who understands that manual workflows are a necessary starting point, but not the end goal. The role combines hands-on execution with a strong focus on process control, efficiency, and long-term scalability.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Payment Operations Execution: Manually process payouts and refunds, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls and timelines.
- Chargeback Processing & Coordination: Register, track, and coordinate chargeback cases, ensuring deadlines are met and working closely with internal teams and merchants when required.
- Operational Controls: Apply and maintain operational controls to prevent errors, duplications, and incorrect executions. Identify anomalies and escalate risks when detected.
- Process Documentation & Improvement: Document existing workflows and actively propose improvements focused on scalability, standardization, and automation.
- Automation & Tooling Support: Collaborate with operations, product, and technology teams to support the gradual transition from manual processes to automated and controlled workflows.
- Reporting & Monitoring: Prepare and maintain internal operational reports related to payouts, refunds, and chargebacks.
Required Qualifications
- Education / Experience:
- Experience in operations, payments, finance, or a related field; or
- Previous experience (1–3 years) in a payment operations, back office, or financial operations role within a fintech, PSP, bank, or similar environment
- Languages:
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).

- Ability to work with manual workflows while thinking in terms of automation

- Comfortable handling sensitive financial data
