Meet The Team

Francisco Leon joined Bamboo Payment in Abril 2023 as Chief Executive Officer. Before joining Bamboo he led the growth and development of several payment processors in Latin America, overseeing regional and global operations.

Lacho Guzman joined Bamboo Payment as Chief Technology Officer in October 2022. Lacho is a senior IT executive with over 12 years of experience driving tech from strategic to operative levels in different industries such as fintech and digital transformation.

Ignacio Cardoso joined Bamboo Payment as Chief Compliance Officer in July 2021. He has held several leadership roles in global financial institutions. His main focus has been elaborating compliance and regulatory oversight procedures as well as securing global payment processing licenses for Bamboo Payment.

Simon Vella joined Bamboo Payment as Chief Financial Officer in August 2022. Prior to Bamboo, Simon headed the Malta office for dLocal, and was involved in treasury and cash management during the company’s growth. Prior to dLocal, Simon worked in the banking industry and was responsible for setting up the internal audit function within two major banks in Malta.

Carlos Steneri joined Bamboo Payment in August 2020 as Head of LATAM. Since then he has held several leadership and strategic roles and currently focused on global growth and strategic partnerships as Chief Strategy Officer. Before joining Bamboo he worked for several regional payment processors in commercial roles as well as global logistics companies based in Latin America.

Julian Deblauwe Currently serving as the Head of Finance at Bamboo Payment since September 2023, brings extensive industry knowledge, particularly in cross-border transactions, gained from his previous role at dLocal. In his last position as Head of FP&A, Julian was responsible for overseeing key financial aspects. Prior to that, he excelled as a Consolidation and Reporting Manager. Julian is dedicated to contributing to Bamboo Payment’s growth and success.

Adelina Lorenzo y Losada joined Bamboo Payment in March 2021 as Latin America Expansion Coordinator, being responsible for partnerships with local payment method acquirers, banks and structuring our local operations. She has several years experience working for payment processors including dLocal.

Marcel Bajac joined Bamboo Payment in February 2022 as Finance and Administrative Manager. Prior to Bamboo, he held leadership positions at PedidosYa, Infocasas and Equifax with focus on financial management and reporting.

Daniel Gonzales joined Bamboo Payment in August 2022 as Product Lead . Before Bamboo, Daniel headed multiple initiatives at PayU for Latin America, specializing in the Brazilian market. He was responsible for implementing government regulations, and adding new payment methods around the region. Prior to PayU, Daniel also contributed to constructing Colombia’s foreign exchange clearing and settlement system.
